This network crosses municipalities and interconnects villages. The practice of <strong>cross-country skiing<\/strong> grew so quickly that in 1927, a train dedicated to transporting skiers was inaugurated. This is how tourism became an economic driver that over time would surpass agriculture and forestry.<\/p><p>In 1933, <strong>Jackrabbit Johannsen<\/strong> completed the famous Maple Leaf Trail, which aimed to interconnect accommodations in the southern <strong>Laurentians<\/strong> to <strong>Mont-Tremblant<\/strong>. This trail led to a further boom in ski tourism, with 150,000 skiers taking the train up to the Laurentians annually by 1941! Although this network has undergone many transformations over the years, it still exists.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-f339342 network.
