Our small management team strives to build a collective project around Les Routes Blanches to bring the Laurentian ski heritage to life, today and for the future. We strive to make exceptional winter adventure experiences accessible through nordic ski touring trails. As a link between sport, heritage, and community, we are committed as much as possible to preserving and promoting historic trails and collaborating with local stakeholders to enhance local economies and ensure a legacy for future communities!
Will Hotopf
Will is our development manager and also one of our guides when he has the time! Outside of peak season, Will manages the project almost full-time and constantly seeks to develop and improve Les Routes Blanches. He is an ACMG-accredited guide who lives and works in Quebec after having lived and worked around the world! He speaks 5 languages, he specializes in nordic skiing and loves introducing our clients to the Laurentian backcountry.
Marie-France Lajeunesse
Sporty and a big fan of recreational trails, Marie-France has a unique background that has led her to work with the community for the preservation and development of outdoor sites as Executive Director of SOPAIR. She uses her experience in construction, landscape architecture, site management and local consultation to contribute to the major project of preserving the trails and is proud to lead Les Routes Blanches project with the entire SOPAIR team.

Les Routes Blanches is proud to employ certified professional guides, all graduates of a guide school. We are proud to pay a fair wage, above the Canadian standard. As a company, we believe that guides are the key to an exceptional trip, taking care of safety, logistics, food, and any problems so you don’t have to. Édouard Borel
Professional adventure guide, instructor and outdoor enthusiast Edouard spends his time between Quebec and Yukon all year round, having guided previously as a professional ski guide in the Alps and Gaspésie. He one of our finest skiers and is also an instructor in wilderness first aid and avalanche terrain safety.
Camille Carle
Whether by canoe or ski, Camille is always on the lookout for new adventures ! Passionate about nature, she is not only a professional guide, but also a first-rate interpreter of the environment and heritage that surrounds us. With her infectious smile and nature, Camille is dedicated to making the outdoors accessible to all.
Jean-François Girard
Our most seasoned guide and photographer, Jean-François kayaks and cross-country skis across Quebec with groups of enthusiasts. As our in-house photographer and videographer, Jean-François is one of the only people who can ski hard with a camera in his hand! Passionate and committed, we are delighted to have him as a Routes Blanches guide!
Mathilde White
Fresh from her professional guide training, Mathilde decided to take the plunge and become a backcountry nordic ski guide, one of her favorite disciplines. A lifelong skier, she devotes much of her time with us running ski initiations and when not working with us can often be found skiing the trails. Passionate about the arts and outdoor cooking, Mathilde is a refreshing addition to the team!
