Under the guidance of an adventure tourism instructor, take your Nordic skiing skills to the next level with a full day of skiing on one of the most iconic heritage trails — the Maple Leaf Trail.

Prerequisites:
Previous Nordic skiing experience or completion of the Introduction Level I course.
Schedule :
AM
- 9:30 am – Arrival of participants, equipment pickupt
- 9:30 am to 11:00 am – Group skill refresher
Presentation on Les Routes Blanches
Practice of ascents, descents, and turns on the Maple Leaf
Full braking, control, and efficient positioning - 11am – Departure on the trails for a 10 km loop in the Sainte-Marguerite-du-Lac-Masson routes
- 12:30 pm to 1:15 pm – Outdoor lunch
- What to bring for an autonomous ski outing?

- 1:15 pm to 3:30 pm – Continuation of the guided route
More advanced techniques: turns and stopping in telemark style
Return to the parking area and conclusion

Training objective:
To further develop your cross-country skiing skills and become more independent in your practice.
By the end of the course: You will know what to pack in your backpack for an independent cross-country skiing trip, you will have improved your downhill skiing skills (parallel turns, basic telemark), and you will be at the right level to complete the east or west route in self-guided format and/or the north route in guided format.
